Terms of Use
The rules for using this site and the names you take from it.
By using nickzoo.com you accept these terms. They are short because the site is simple: it gives away names and asks for nothing back.
The names
Every generator here is free to use, with no limit on how many names you take. What you may and may not do with a name, and with the lists themselves, is set out on the License page, and that page is part of these terms.
The generators
They are offered as is, for your own use. They store nothing and publish nothing. Automated scraping of the generators or of the endpoint behind them is not permitted, which is about protecting the lists rather than about pushing you toward anything paid. There is nothing paid.
Names and the real world
These names are assembled from invented word parts. A generated name may still coincide with a real person, a company, a product or a character in a work someone else owns, and a coincidence like that is not a licence: checking that a name is free to use in your particular context is your job, not ours. That matters most for anything commercial.
Availability
We try to keep the site up and the generators working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Pages and lists may be added, changed or withdrawn at any time.
Accuracy
The notes beside the curated names are opinions about how a name sounds, not facts about a language that exists. Where a page explains a naming convention, it describes the convention as it is normally used in fiction. If something on the site is plainly wrong we want to hear about it on the Contact page. Beyond fixing it, we cannot accept liability for any loss arising from an error on a free page.
Links out
Where this site links to another, we are not responsible for what is on the other end.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the bottom changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new version.
