Privacy Policy

What this site collects, what it does not, and who else sees anything.

This page describes what Nick Zoo collects, which is very little, and who else sees it.

No account, no sign up

There is nothing to register for. You can use every generator on the site, read every list and copy as many names as you like without giving us anything at all.

What the generators collect

Nothing. A batch of names is fully described by the number printed under it, so there is nothing worth storing: the names are rebuilt from that number every time the page loads rather than looked up somewhere. Nothing you generate is saved, published or visible to anyone else, and the copy buttons work entirely inside your own browser.

What the contact form collects

If you write to us, we store the name you type, the email address if you choose to give one, your message, the language you were reading in, and the IP address the message arrived from. The IP is kept only to deal with spam. Nothing from this form is used for marketing, sold, or shared with anyone, and if you ask us to delete your message we will.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no login, no cart, and no preference to remember.

Analytics and third parties

Traffic measurement is used to see which generators people actually use, in aggregate. It records the page visited, the country, the device type and the referring site. It does not record your name and we cannot use it to identify you.

The site is served through Cloudflare, which sits between your browser and our server and processes your IP address in order to deliver the page and block attacks. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a browser rather than a script.

The share buttons are plain links. Nothing from Pinterest, Facebook or WhatsApp loads on the page or sees you until you click one.

Advertising

Nick Zoo is free because it is paid for by ads. We use Google AdSense, which is what keeps the generators free for everyone.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and parts of Latin America), a consent banner asks you first, and you can refuse personalised ads. Refusing does not limit anything on this site.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, refuse third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info, or read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Children

Some of these generators are used by children naming a pet or a character. Nothing on this site asks a visitor for information, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address on the Contact page and we will act on it.
